At Brandon Medical Center, the safety of our patients and staff is our top priority. We are continuing to follow CDC guidelines and local mandates to help slow the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and keep our communities safe and healthy. Below we define some of the safety precautions and health practices we have installed.
Our Commitments Toward Your Health and Safety
Screening at Doors
No sick patients or staff is allowed at any of our centers. We will be screening at the door for fever and signs of illness. If you are sick, we ask that you reschedule your appointment.
Frequent Disinfecting
Our staff is regularly disinfecting all frequently touched surfaces, including countertops, door handles, sinks and toilet flush handles. The exams rooms will be disinfected after each patient, and waiting areas will be wiped down regularly.
Face Masks and Gloves
Due to new face mask ordinances, all staff and patients must wear face masks in our centers. If you do not have a mask, we will gladly provide one for you. To further ensure safety, all staff members will also be wearing gloves.
Social Distancing
To respect social distancing, we ask that patients remain at least 6 feet apart in the waiting areas. If the waiting area is full, patients may choose to wait in their car. You may call your local center when you arrive, and we can call you back when it is time for your appointment.
Guest Policy
Please help us maintain social distancing by leaving guests and family members home during your appointment. Guests are permitted for patients who require an escort or interpreter, but we ask that all other patients come to their appointment alone. Patients who arrive with excessive or unnecessary guests will be asked to have their company wait in their vehicle.
